MW5 freezes when project has reference to unavailable plug-in

With the new installer the Template plug-in is removed because it should not have been shipped in the first place.
When you open a project that was created with a previous version of MW5 and at that time you have loaded the template plug-in it now freezes MW5.
In the log file is mentioned:

This should not throw an exception but just a warning and the loading of the project should continue.
